Really nice appartment. Very friendly and helpful landlord

The place was pretty, well equipped and in the nice location. Everything was fine that’s why I think it was perfect.

Everything worked seamlessly, Viktor is a great Landlord and always easy to reach in case there was a problem. The appartment itself is very nicely decorated and in a great neighbourhood.

The apartment is exactly as listed. In fact, it’s even better than the listing. Paulo was great with all communications in the build up to our arrival, and his dad was on hand to check us in, and show us how everything works in the apartment. The little details made this place feel really homely. Especially the very comfortable sofa, with adjustable headrests - and the beanbag, which makes for a nice cozy spot after a long day. The desk set-up is epic, with a top quality Samsung monitor, and a high backed, height adjustable, cushioned chair, which also has arms. And it’s got wifi speeds to match. The kitchen had everything we needed, and everything was in great (new, or almost new) condition. No crusty pans here. There are 2 balconies - one off the kitchen and one of the main living area, so you get lots of natural light and air through most of the day, and it makes the already huge footprint seem even bigger. I did my workout on the balcony, but there’s also space inside if you prefer. 

If you just want to relax, the balcony is setup with some comfy chairs and a small table to eat or work from. So it’s really up to you. 

There is also a lot of storage space, from the huge built in units in the hallway, to a big side unit in the lounge, and a utility cupboard in the kitchen. 

The entrance to the building at ground level has no steps, and there is an elevator in the building - so accessibility ins’t an issue. And if you travel with kids or a baby, there is a cot and high chair here, along with other kid-friendly items (plates and cutlery etc).

Couple of things to note. The listing says there is a hot tub. There isn’t a hot tub, but there is 2 bath tubs! There was no AC when we stayed (we didn’t need it, but in summer you probably would want it) The host (Paulo) already mentioned to me they plan to install AC and with that this apartment will be perfect. 

I’ve stayed in Lagos before in other areas, but I found this location ideal for getting quick access to the town, and the beaches.

1 small supermarket 5 mins away 1 big supermarket 15 mins away 
All walking. 

I would 100% return here. It was a dream stay.

This is a very nice place to stay. And a very nice neighborhood. The owners were very helpful. . There is a couple things I’ve noticed about the apartment that I’m going to mention .. There is a bit of a smell. Coming up from the shower drain (But only If you do not use the shower for a day or 2 ), I’m assuming has to do with a P-trap not being installed properly (or not at all), but has nothing to do with the landlord, and more to do with the mechanicals of the building.. I noticed this when I went to Germany for several days and then returned , and also as just as I moved into the place ..However, but as long as there is daily water going down the drain, there is no smell…. And , Also, the vent for the stove is on a stainless steel drawer that you pull out. And then the fan comes on ……and I noticed that someone probably must not have known this ,and steamed the cabinet above the stove a bit I’m just mentioning this, so it doesn’t happen again. There is no switch. It comes on when you pull it out.. I have 20 years design and building residential spaces and these are the kinds of things I notice… hopefully it is helpful.

Wonderful location! Close to the beach, which is ideal for a summer visit. The accommodation is well-equipped with all the essential kitchen amenities. Host was very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend choosing this place for your stay.

A very nice apartment in a central location. Equipped with everything you need: Washing machine, vacuum cleaner, a large kitchenette, a fridge and a large storage area. I would love to stay again! I can only highly recommend it!

A cozy apartment with a beatiful view of the ocean and Funchal. The communication with the owner was fluent and the replies were fast.

It's well located, comfortable apartment and the host is super friendly. We've liked the time there and recommend it to everyone. It is also pet friendly, which is a bit advantage

Check-in went without problems. Gracinda is a very responsive landlord, she was in touch and helped with all questions. Of course, traveling in the off-season is a separate type of adventure. But we are glad that we were in Troy at this time and were able to disconnect from the bustle of the city and relax on the ocean coast.

Tibor is a great host, very communicative, quick to respond to any questions and he does everything to make the tenant feel at home. The apartment is just like in the pictures. It hasn't been renovated in some time so it does have a few quirks and imperfections. The sofabed is more like a folded mattress, although quite comfortable. The apartment was mostly clean when we moved in, although in need of a sightly deeper cleaning in harder to reach areas. The neighborhood and the building is surprisingly quiet in our experience. The apartment faces the inner courtyard, which is unfortunate in the wintertime (lack of light) but probably great in the summer. Overall we had a lovely stay in Tibor's apartment and we can wholeheartedly recommend it!

Unique, cozy, very sunny and well planned apartment in a quiet area. The apartment is equipped with everything necessary. The beds were comfortable, all kitchen appliances worked well, including the washing machine. TV and Wi-Fi worked well. Central air conditioning and heating worked great. We visited in December and January, the heating was sufficient. Thank you very much, Rita, for your help on all issues.
